Snowpiercer is a 2013 sci-fi thriller
starring many Korean, American and English stars. The film is set in the future
where the governments of the world attempt to control global warming by
releasing a substance into the atmosphere designed to lower temperature. This experiment
to stop global warming went terribly wrong resulting in earth becoming an
uninhabitable wasteland. This ice age killed all life on earth except for the
inhabitants on Snowpiercer – a perpetually moving massive train circling the
globe that carries earth’s only remaining human livings.
You will be thrust
into the thick of things right from the start as seventeen years have passed
since the world was frozen over and chaos has risen aboard Snowpiercer. This is
because a class system has been developed over time with the poor residing the
back of the train while the wealthy upper class reside the front of the train.
The poor are sick of their terrible living conditions and attempt to seize
control of the engine.
Previous rebellions have always failed
however this time takes they have discovered the location of the security
expert who designed the doors of this train. The further they get the more
terrifying truths are uncovered. This
film will be a breathtaking experience and will be a film that you would want
to watch again to understand more and ponder on the questions asked by the
ending.
